May the 4th be with you!

Today is a big day if you are a Star Wars fan like me! If I hadn´t been to work today I would spend my day in the sofa having a Star Wars bonanza watching the films and eating popcorn.

However - I did color a digistamp that I have by Mayzy Art with Leia and Han Solo that will be one of my filler cards for this week in my PL album:

Since it´s sized to fit a 3x4 pocket the stamp got really small but I´m glad I managed to stay inside most of the lines with my Promarkers.

So if you´re NOT busy today you know what I think you should do!!! ;D

Yay! I got my stamps!

This Friday I got my stamps that I´ve ordered from Stampotique and I´m over the moon about them!
Here are all of them:

I was really eager to play with them so I took out my water colors and got to work. Here they are - all finished and ready to be added to a project:

I gotta confess and say that two of the images have already been made into cards, but I can´t put them here before next week since I made them for my blog day over at Pysseldags.

Let´s talk some digistuff....

As I told you the other day Ju Kneipp is quitting as a designer - the good news for you is that you can grab all her gorgeous stuff right now over at the Sweet Shoppe:

Since it´s a new month it also means a new Scrap Pack over at the Scrap Stacks:

You get all the goodies for just $5 which really is a great deal! As you know I´ve already played with these goodies and made three layouts using all of the kits above:

And please be sure that you don´t miss this beautiful new kit from Juno Designs:

If you grab it before Nov. 6 (which means a discount price too) you get these fab journaling cards for free:

Here´s my layout:

This is it from me this time - peace out!

Colormania

I spent a major part of Sunday to color some motifs for my Christmas cards. I used mostly digital stamps and my Spectrum Noir pens:

These stamps are from Mo Manning:

These are from Magnolia and they´re NOT digital:

These are Nillas Stamps from Pysseldags:

From Saturated Canary:

The last two are also digital but I can´t remember where they come from! If you know I would be happy to know - just post a comment below:

They will all end up on my Christmas cards that I´m planning to send this year. I was actually planning on not using any stamped motifs on my cards this year but I just couldn´t help myself...

I´ll be back later this week with at least one finished card. Hope you all get to have a wonderful week!
Hugs, Carina

New digital layouts

Since it´s Saturday it means release day over at Sweet Shoppe Designs and I got two gorgeous collabs to play around with this time:

Here are my two first layouts:

But let´s not forget the new little mini from The Ardent Sparrow:

Using some additional goodies from Rebecca I came up with this layout:

I´m also taking part of the March challenge over at Pixels & Co which consists in using the same template in three different ways. You can read about it here. I´ve done two so far:

I´ve linked them to my gallery over at Pixels & Co for full credits info.

Finally here´s some layouts I made for Laitha´s Designs which is planned to be released today at the latest called Spring Break:

I´ll provide a link for this gorgeous kit when it shows up in her store.

As to wrap it up this Saturday I can´t resist showing you my coloring of my two new stamps from Kenny K using Spectrum Noir:

Have a wonderful Saturday! <3 p="">

Longest pause ever....

Hi again! It´s me - Carina. Do you remember me? Can´t blame you if you don´t *giggles*! Believe me when I say that I did not plan to be absent for almost a month. Things have really been super busy around here, but I´m hoping to get into the blogging swing again now.

I see I passed the 10 000 mark, but I haven´t any surprise for you today I´m afraid. But I promise - it´s coming this weekend! ;D

So what have I´ve been up to then these last weeks? I´m not gonna bore you so I´m sticking to my crafty/digital stuff. This time I´m sticking to linked picks mainly so you can check them out more in detail.

Digital stuff:

Crafty Stuff for Reprint:

Are you still here? Good - since I´m not finished yet....
Lucky me I got to try our the Spectrum Noir pens from Crafter´s Companion. They´re an alcohol based pen similar to Copics and ProMarkers, but much cheaper. They come in a wide range of colors, are refillable and you can exchange the nib. I´ve used them on the cards above with the girl and the bear. Now I´ve been testing them a little more and I thought I´d show you the same stamped motif colored either with ProMarkers or Spectrum Noir. I tried to get colors that were alike but it was really hard. I´m gonna let you guess which is which - and no cheating by checking further down! ;D

#2

Can you see it???

OK - the #1 is colored with ProMarkers and #2 is colored with Spectrum Noir.

How about this lady?

Don´t mind that the hat looks a bit fussy - it´s actually my photo that´s a bit blurry...
Well - she´s colored with BOTH ProMarkers and Spectrum Noir.

So what´s my personal opinion? It´s no secret I´m a hardcore ProMarker, but I have to say that the Spectrum Noir pens impressed me with their rich colors AND that they´re really affordable! The Spectrum Noir pens are sold in packs of 6 for about 75 SEK and one ProMarker pen costs about 30-35 SEK each.

The motives I colored are digital stamps from Tiddly Inks, printed on photo album paper on a regular inkjet printer from Epson. As you can see if you look closer on the pics above the Spectrum Noir pens seem to have a tendency to bleed a little more, but I think it´s more the paper than the ink.

My conclusion: I love my ProMarkers but will use my Spectrum Noir pens as a complement for all the gorgeous colors! With the right paper and ink they´ll be a PERFECT match!

Lots of hugs
/Carina
