From my art journal

Last Sunday I blogged at Pysseldags with a new page from one of my art journals. And yes I have a couple of different laying around - don´t ask me why it is that way...  The one I´m showing you today is actually an old book I bought in a thrift store where I glue a couple of pages together to get more sturdy paper to paint on + the text inside gives a nice touch when it shines through.

On this project I started with painting the pages with white acrylic paint. When it had dried I used some lovely pinks, green and white Dylusions together with a heart mask from Heidi Swapp. To be honest I was not really sure about the whole thing since it looked like a total mess. I wish I had taken a photo at that stage. From the beginning I had already thought about the quote - hence the hearts and the keys - which says "You got the key to my heart" in Swedish so the thought about the woman head popped into my head.  With oodles of white and flesh colored acrylics I got a better skin tone on the face and I´m pretty satisfied with the outcome. If you wanna read more about what I used from Pysseldags you can find my posting HERE.

Remember I told you in the last post I was going to check out the iNSD sales in digiland? Well, maybe I´m spoiled being on the teams for so many wonderful designers that all I bought was an awesome grab bag from Little Butterfly Wings at The Lily-Pad. I got to choose 5 products of my liking in her store for only $5! Here´s what I got:

To top it all I also got the new DigiFiles from The Daily Digi and it was an awesome collection of kits! Grab it if you haven´t!

Let me just finish my blog post with my latest layout that I made for ScrapStacks May Pack using Girlie Girl kit by Peppermint Creative:

Project Life - week 19 & 20

Now I´ve reached week 19 and 20 and it feels so good to have so little left to be totally up-to-date.

When I started out my PL I bought a package of mixed plastic pockets from Becky Higgins, and I tried to spread the different designs even throughout my album. I can honestly say that the pocket design for these two weeks aren't my favorite ones, but I think they turned out just fine:

Week 19:

Week 20:

What I love the best (besides the memories... ;D ) is that I´ve been using lots of my fav products here. like these:
The bummer is that I´m out on ink in my printer, but it´s getting here in my mailbox tomorrow already! I can´t wait to print some more photos for the following weeks!

Hugs, Carina

Project Life

I finally made my first pages for my Project Life. I waited a very long time for my plastic covers to arrive and then it just got stuck here on my working table since I didn´t have a binder for it. At last I got my hands on one. I´m not going to buy the whole Becky Higgins collection, since it would be way to expensive to get it here by mail. I got my binder from We R MemoryKeepers in black linen. For journaling and stuff like that I´m gonna use digital ones, scrapbooking products I got already and even make some on my own....

Now, the hard part is actually catching up and trying to remember week by week. At this point I´m very happy that I´m doing the 366 days on my iPhone and that I have a calendar where I have written down some things that has happened.
After doing Week 1 I´m thinking of changing my strategy and work from this week and backwards instead. ;D

Here´s how my first page look:

I think it´s ok, but I might do some changes later.
And here´s my first week:

I have had such a fun  - and a bit frustrating - time to make this and I´m really looking forward to how this is gonna progress.

So don´t be surprised if I´m gonna share some more Project Life freebies with you and hoping you have use for them.

Freebie time - as promised!

Hi everyone!
Finally I got around to finish my freebie for you after having 10 000 visits on my blog! I made some journaling cards that could easily fit into a 3x4 pocket for your Project Life OR you could just use it for your scrapbooking. They´re ready to print on an A4 sized paper (letter size) and comes in both a Swedish and an English version. I did not make them into PS/png format, but if you wish to use them for digital scrapbooking just send me a message and I´ll fix it! Just click on the preview to get to the link!

And here´s some close-ups so you can see them better before downloading.... ;D

I really hope you like them and I would absolutely LOVE to hear what you think about them!
