Kraft+ June challenge

Hi everyone!

Time to share a paper scrapbooking page that I made for one of my favorite challenges online - the Kraft+ challenge -using one of my to go products when I´m crafting which is kraft paper.

This month´s challenge is Kraft+One which means you have to use a kraft paper as base and then add just your favorite color.

My all time fav colors are PINK and then green and this time I went with pink:

Most of the things I used are from Studio Calico like all the papers, almost all the embelishments and the text stamps. The little wood bird, strings, paper doily and the washi tapes are of unknown brand.
The digital stamp in the shape of an owl is from Skaparkällarn and colored with Promarkers.
I did this on a little scrap meeting I had with friends and I had limited things to use so I´m really pleased with how this turned out!

Tomorrow is the last day of school before the summer holiday for my pupils. After that I have to work about three days next week and then I´m ON VACATION!!! Such happy days ahead!

Take care - hugs, Carina

Long time - no see!

Hi everyone! Do you remember me? I used to blog a bit here but I totally got out of swing of things and I had to let this blog rest a bit. But now I´m planning to get back again, blogging about all kind of things. It might be in English or it will be in Swedish or maybe both...

My paper project life has been put on the back burner for a while but thanks to a Swedish PL Facebook group I´m getting back again. There´s nothing like some good challenges and support!

This last week I´ve completed two weeks - 12 and 13:

After I´d done week 12 I felt it was ok but a bit boring and I started thinking about what I really wanna have on my pages. So I´ve been pinning a lot of ideas and sketches for inspiration. One single thing - and not a major one - is that for week 13 I rounded all my cards and it already felt better. I also gonna doodle a bit more around the edges and add some stamping to some of the filler cards. Looking at week 13 I can see that I´m gonna go back and do that with the one with the big 4 on it.
Another thing is that I´m gonna be better with adding embellishments to my pages - it makes them feel more alive.

This past weekend I edited over 130 photos for my PL album and sent them for development. When I get them I´ll be at week 29! So there´s still a long way to go but I´m getting there slowly. I´ve decided to let this take some time so I´ll be happy with the way it looks.

I also got myself a Happy Planner/Create 365:

 Some of the pages inside:

I bought this online and hadn´t seen it before in paper format and I was so happy when it arrived. So totally my colors and patterns! Love it! I´ve been starting to fill it up and I´m planning to use it at home like a journal:

Here´s the beginning of last week:

...and on Sunday:

The lovely Alice in Wonderland stickers are a freebie from Victoria Thatcher and she has loads of wonderful free stuff you can use!

Aaah, it feels good to be blogging again and I will be back again in a day or two!
Take care!/xoxo Carina

Keeping up with Project Life

When 2016 started I was way behind with my album for 2015. There were so many things going on in my life that I just left it on the back burner. In late January I just decided that I really wanted to get it finished so I could start with 2016 and just put aside all other crafty and artsy projects. I´m lucky to have my own craft room which means that I can just leave things and get back to it later. I think the key to getting finished besides that was to order all my missing photos in one big sweep and keeping decorations to a minimum. What I haven´t done is taking photos of them all and maybe I will later on...

In February I could finally really get things going with 2016! My front page was actually finished before and I really like the outcome of that but as I´m looking now I realize I forgot to take pic of that aso I´ll get back to that.

Instead - let me show you the ones that I HAVE taken photos of:

WEEK 1:

WEEK 2:

WEEK 3 (which I´ve posted before):

WEEK4:

WEEK 5:

WEEK 6:

WEEK 7:

WEEK 8:

....and WEEK 9:

I have a monthly subscription to Studio Calico so nearly all my filler cards are from these kits. Embellishments, letters and stamps comes from different brands and when I post week 10 I´ll try to keep track on what I´ve been using for that special spread.

I´m constantly struggling with keeping my spreads cohesive and harmonic and I try not to get too carried away with embellishments. I want it to be fun AND pretty straight forward to put it together. I try to focus more on the stories and the photos.

I got my photos picked out for the next couple of weeks and either I´ll let my printer work this weekend or just get them done elsewhere. Time will be the judge of that.

Thanks for stopping by my blog - and I would LOVE a comment on what you think!

Have a great weekend!/ Carina

Marsutmaningen hos Project Life Norge

New Project Life pages

It´s time to show my latest Project Life pages today. These are from week three and four:

I like them - but still I can´t shake the feeling that something´s missing.  But I can´t for the life of it figure out what I should add. For now I decided that I´m just gonna let them be as they are.

On the top page I used fillercards from Studio Calico´s Jan kit and at the bottom page there´s also twofrom the same kit - the title card and the one next to it. The other ones I´ve made as a collab with "my designer" Juno Designs.  I also used stamps from Studio Calico, Pysseldags and Sodalicious. Then there´s all kind of little things that I haven´t been keeping track on where the come from.

Now I´m gonna tackle week 5 and 6 - and I have an idea in my head that´s just bursting to come out! I promise I´ll share it as soon as it´s finished!

Hugs, Carina

Keeping up with Project Life

I´m so pleased this year that I managed - so far - to be keeping up fairly good with my PL-album. I just finished my pages for week 1 and 2:

All the filler cards on both these spreads are from Prima´s Epiphany journaling cards 3x4 and 4x6. I made the calendar for this month in the Rhonna Farrer app on my iPhone. The title card for January is made with a thin wood word art and a plastic cover from Studio Calico. Also from Studio Calico are the little pink hearts, the word art sticker in red, acrylic alpha stamps and the journaling ticket. The flair on the title card for week two is from Prima and the letter stickers are from Amy Tangerine/AC. You can also see Mambo word stickers and Dymo labels.

What I´m most pleased about so far is that I managed to make some more journaling on my pages which I realized that I´ve been missing in my 2014 album. I also like the vintage/artsy feel which I hope I will be able to stick to more in this year.

Hugs, Carina

Project Life pages 2014 - part 2

Hi again!
I´m back with my 2nd and last posting with pages from my 2014 Project Life album. Just like the other time around there´ll be lots of photos and comments:

Week 41: I´ve been using cards from Teresa Collins and Studio Calico for this week. The awesome fall stamp is from Ali Edwards. The date stamp is from Sodalicious and the letters stamped at the left bottom card are from a stamp kit from Graphic 45. You can also see som washitape from SC, Dymo labels and letter stickers from Tim Holtz.

Week 42: The fillercards are from 5th and Frolic core kit (Becky Higgings) and Studio Calico. I used stickers from Heidi Swapp, SimpleStories and Crate papers. You can also see wood veneers and acrylic dots from Studio Calico.

Week 43: All the fillercards are from Studio Calico like the wood veneer.
The letter stickers are from Doodlebug.

Week 44: I love this page so much even though there´s hardly any journaling or decorations. I made the collage in the bottom left using the Becky Higgins app AND the Rhonna Farrer app.

Week 45: Fillercards from SC (Studio Calico), stamps from Heidi Swapp and some yellow washitape.

Week 46: Fillercards from SC. Stamps from SC, Heidi Swapp and Ali Edwards. Stars from SC, stickers from SimpleStories and some bling.

Week 47: More fillercards from SC. The chipboard from and the journaling spots are also from SC. I used stamps from PinkPaislee and the letter stickers are from October Afternoon.

Week 48: The last week I´m showing for 2014! The fillercards and the large oval journaling stickers are from SC. The small journaling tags are from Heidi Swapp. The stars and the acrylic dots are also from SC. I can´t remember where the washitape is from. I made the title card using stamps from Hero Arts and stickers from SC.

Thanks for reading the whole post and I would really love if you would take that little extra minute to share what you think about my pages!

Until next time...../Carina
